Privacy Notice
Animoro uses optional, first-party visitor analytics to understand aggregate use of public pages and improve the site.
What analytics records
Only after you choose “Allow analytics,” we record a random visitor identifier in a first-party cookie, a temporary session identifier, the public page viewed, server-received time, approximate page engagement duration, broad device/browser/operating-system categories, and a referring website hostname or validated campaign parameters when available. On published articles, the event is associated with the article's existing database ID, slug, and title. For abuse prevention, the server also uses Vercel's client IP transiently to create a keyed digest for a shared request counter; the raw IP is not written to Firestore, and that digest is separate from visitor analytics identifiers. We do not collect precise location, account details, or device fingerprints. Country and city are not collected.
Purpose, retention, and limitations
These records are used for aggregate traffic reports, troubleshooting, and request abuse prevention. Raw page events are configured to expire after 90 days; pseudonymous visitor summaries after 180 days; server-side sessions after one day; and keyed request-counter records after 30 minutes. Firestore TTL deletion is asynchronous and may occur after those periods. Daily aggregate totals and category/article breakdowns do not currently have an automatic expiry and remain until manually removed. Analytics counts are approximate: clearing site data or using another browser or device may make one person appear as more than one visitor. Source classification may be unknown and is not proof of a particular search engine or campaign.
Your choice
Analytics is off unless you opt in. You can change your choice below. Declining or withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection and removes the analytics identifiers from this browser. Existing article popularity counts use a separate, pre-existing 24-hour counter and are not detailed visitor analytics.
